Another brilliant weekendfor Jake and the Crescent RH Racing team as round 4 of the MAXXIS BritishChampionships took place at Hawkstone Park.
Jake got off to a solid start in race 1 and although in 3rdposition for a few laps, dropped back to 5th by the finish flag. The secondrace got off to another good start but after a strong battle he finished in7th, resulting in a top 5 finish overall.
This positive result movesJake into 9th in the Championship. His next race is round 3 of the PirelliMasters at Preston on the 27th May.
" All in all a goodday, it's a personal best for me, getting 5th in the British Championship andonly a few points away from the podium. Moving forward each week withconfidence and starting to show what I and the people around me worked hardfor" Jake Shipton
"Hawkstone is not atrack Jake normally excels at but Jake proved yesterday that he is more thangetting the better of the sandy Shropshire circuit. Two good starts and twostrong, determined rides bought his best ever British Championship result. I'mvery happy with his performance and the Yamaha YZ450F"
