Model Description

Crescent Motorcycles is very proud to offer this stunningly rebuilt 1965 Yamaha YM1 305 BIG BEAR. This bike was brought into the UK along with 4 others in 2013 and is now the last one up for sale. It comes with a letter from yamaha proving the matching numbers to the frame and engine are from the YM1 and signed certificate from the Yamaha Classic Club, UK V5, 1 owner, MOT and 3 original keys. We will get the bike run up and provide a walk around video unless you would like to come and see it for your self. The YM1 was a motorcycle produced by Yamaha from 1964 to 1966. It used a 305 cc 2-stroke engine. It shared common parts with the 246 cc YDS3 and was virtually identical in all respects with the exception of bore and stroke. The YM1 featured an oil-injection system that fed oil to the carburettor intake, the oil flow increasing as the throttle was opened. This gave the motorcycle sufficient lubrication for the crankshaft, cylinders, connecting rods, and pistons without requiring premixing of the oil and gas and with reduced use of oil.Blue/white, red/white and black/white models were available for the YM1, which had a top speed of approximately 100mph.To discuss this bike further please call us on 01202 820170 (option 1 – sales) or email us at motorcycle.sales@crescentmoto.uk.
